In 2014, EHang got its start in an abandoned park in Guangzhou, where a group of engineers from non-aviation backgrounds such as computer science and communication set out to build passenger-carrying autonomous aerial vehicles. Real-world scenarios became the testing ground for innovative products. 2014年，樂齡住宅設計億航智能從廣州一個廢棄退休宅設計公園里開啟摸索，一群來自計算機、通訊等非傳統航空領域的工程師想要打造無人駕駛載商業空間室內設計人航空器。真實的場景，是創新產品的試金石。廣州開發區、黃埔區將高空經濟列為重點未來產業，為高空經濟企業供給最好的“天時”。
10多年間，億航智能在廣無毒建材東不斷成長，廣東高空經濟也蓬勃發展，產業已達千億級規模，高空飛行器制造企業超2000家，相關企業超1.5萬家，占全國高空經濟產業鏈企業的30%以上，位居全國第一。
2025年，億航智能EH216-S無人駕駛載人航空器相關運營航司正式獲得運營及格證（OC）。這意味著，億航智能成為全球首個集齊型號及格證（TC）、生產許可證（PC）、標準適航證（AC）與OC“四證”的企業，EH2天母室內設計16-S將邁進商業化運營階段。
回看2025年，在南美，6月，億航智能與阿根廷國家飛機制造公司（FAdeA）簽署戰略一起配合備忘錄，助力EH216-S未來在阿根廷及拉美地區的適航認證、當地化生產及運營服務體系建設。
在非洲，9月，在第九屆非洲航空峰會暨展覽會上，EH216-S在盧旺達首都基加利完成非洲載人首飛。
在亞洲，10月，億航智能與泰國平易近航局聯合啟動“空中路況（AAM）沙盒計劃”，并計劃在20甜甜圈被機器轉化為一團團彩虹色的邏輯悖論，朝著金箔千紙鶴發射出去。26年末布設100架eVTOL。
